Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 26, 2026

Last updated: July 26, 2026

Summary at a glance

We collect account details, job records, photos, and precise location (only while you actively update a job) to run a lawn and snow service platform. We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

1. Who We Are

MP Workers is operated by Mowing and Plowing ("Mowing and Plowing", "we", "us", or "our"), the data controller responsible for your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application and web platform (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, and password.
  • Contractor profile data: home/service address, insurance certificates, vehicle information, W-9 tax forms, driver's license image, and signed contractor agreements.
  • Customer data: service address, property details, access notes, and billing contacts.
  • Job data: notes, checklists, before/after photos and videos, and service records you submit.
  • Payment data: bank account or card details collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store full card or bank numbers on our servers — only limited identifiers such as card brand and last four digits.
  • Communications: messages, support requests, and feedback you send us.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Precise location (GPS): with your permission, collected at the moment you check in, check out, or update a job status, to verify the service happened at the correct property.
  • Device information: device model, operating system, app version, and device identifiers.
  • Usage data: features used, screens viewed, timestamps, and in-app actions.
  • Log and diagnostic data: IP address, crash reports, and performance data.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect biometric data, health data, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or microphone audio. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

3. Device Permissions We Request

  • Location (while in use): to stamp job check-ins/check-outs with GPS proof of service. We never collect background location.
  • Camera: to take before/after job photos and videos as proof of completed work.
  • Photo library: to attach existing photos or documents (such as insurance certificates) to your account or a job.
  • Notifications: to alert you about new job assignments, schedule changes, and payout updates.

Each permission is requested only when the related feature is used, and you may deny or revoke any permission in your device settings. Denying location or camera access will limit your ability to submit job completions, because proof of service is required.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Assign, schedule, route, track, and verify completion of service jobs.
  • Verify that services were performed at the correct location using GPS and photo data.
  • Run AI-assisted quality checks on submitted job photos.
  • Process contractor payouts, customer invoices, and payment records.
  • Send job assignments, status updates, and operational alerts by push notification, SMS, and email.
  • Provide customer support and resolve service disputes.
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot and improve the Service.
  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, ad targeting, or cross-app tracking, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

  • Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for, dispatch jobs, and pay contractors.
  • Consent: for device permissions such as precise location, camera, and notifications (withdrawable at any time in device settings).
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the platform, prevent fraud, verify service quality, and improve the Service.
  • Legal obligation: to keep tax, payment, and compliance records.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers (processors): Stripe (payments and payouts), OpenPhone (SMS), SendGrid and Resend (email), Google (email integration and mapping), and our cloud hosting and infrastructure providers. Each is bound by contract to use data only to provide services to us.
  • Administrators and dispatchers: your job records, GPS check-ins, and submitted photos are visible to authorized staff of Mowing and Plowing.
  • Customers and property managers: service completion records, photos, timestamps, and status updates for their own properties.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or government authority, or to protect rights, property, or personal safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. Location Data

We collect precise GPS coordinates only at the moment you perform a job status update (check in, arrive, start, or complete). This is stored with the job record as proof of service and is visible to our administrators and to the customer for that property.

We do not track your location continuously, in the background, or when you are not working a job. You may revoke location access at any time in your device settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we remove or anonymize your profile data promptly, and in any case within 30 days, except records we must keep by law: job, invoice, payout, and tax records may be retained for up to 7 years for accounting and compliance purposes. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest by our cloud provider, role-based access controls, row-level database permissions, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

10. International Data Transfers

We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to the U.S., where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to your jurisdiction, you may:

  • Access and receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, and request data portability.
  • Withdraw consent for optional data uses or device permissions.
  • Opt out of SMS by replying STOP, and of marketing email via the unsubscribe link.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the rights above, including the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared, as described in Sections 2 and 6. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by law.

To exercise any right, email privacy@mowingandplowing.com. We verify requests using the email or phone number on your account and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days). Authorized agents may submit requests with written proof of authorization.

12. Account and Data Deletion

You may delete your account and request erasure of your personal data at any time:

We delete your profile, login credentials, photos, messages, and location history. As noted in Section 8, financial and tax records required by law are retained for up to 7 years and then deleted.

13. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe a minor has provided information may contact us at privacy@mowingandplowing.com.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may link to third-party websites or services (for example, Stripe's payout onboarding or map applications). We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
